Story
Having 'run' the marathon in 2003 for the Terrence Higgins Trust and 2006 for Amnesty International, it's time for what seems to be my three yearly effort to raise a pile of cash for a very worthy cause.
This time I'm doing it for Refuge - you can read all about their excellent work at www.refuge.org.uk
Here's the blurb: donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Refuge gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
UPDATE - IT'S DONE....

Thanks very much to everyone who has sponsored me for the London Marathon. It was a bit of a struggle, especially with the heat, but knowing that you generous souls had helped me raise so much for Refuge kept me going.
It was my slowest time of the three marathons I've done, but I got across the finish line in the end. My sponsorship total is now over £3,000 including Gift Aid, and still rising a little. If you know anyone else who would like to donate then please feel free to direct them here!
Although it was tough, it was satisfying again - running alongside so many people raising money for excellent causes like Refuge, as well as people like the war amputee running with a metal replacement leg, does make it all worthwhile. Just!
And I might have been slow, but I still beat Peter Andre and Jordan.
Thanks again,
Matt
