Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After successively making it to the end of those gruelling 54km of the North Downs in 2019, I want to take on a new challenge and new terrain up in the Lake District for 2020.
I want to continue to make a difference by putting myself through these challenges, and I really appreciate everyone's encouragement and support.
Ashley has been clear of cancer for some time now, and know he went through so much pain, but he never complained or grumbled and he's an amazing inspiration to me.
Here's how your money can make a difference.
£4 could pay for a storybook that explains childhood cancer in simple language and illustrations that children can relate to, helping them understand what's happening to them.
£50 could pay for 20 copies of their Shout Out! magazine for children age seven to 13 - supporting them whilst they are in hospital and helping them feel less isolated.
£100 could pay for nearly four hours of a CLIC Sargent Nurse's time, helping them to maximise the amount of time children with cancer can safely spend at home
£170 could pay for a CLIC Sargent grant to meet the sudden extra costs that a cancer diagnosis can bring such as travel expenses to & from the hospital
£860 could pay for a CLIC Sargent Social Worker for a week, supporting children and young people, and their families, to cope with the impact of a cancer diagnosis on their lives.
£1000 could pay for a family to stay for a month in a Home from Home - close to where their child is receiving cancer treatment.
