Story

North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team (NDSART) are raising funds to replace their current Incident Control Unit (ICU).

Members of North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team will be completing a 55-mile expedition replicating thatof the Ten Tors Event.

The current ICU is now 20-years old and in urgent need of replacement. Each year brings more and more technical and structural problems, and the team has it on good authority that the vehicle will almost certainly fail its MOT next year.

The vehicle is an extensively modified IVECO Daily Light Commercial van which serves as a mobile base during call-outs. The ICU is equipped with sophisticated electronic equipment which is used to coordinate and maintain mobile communication links with operational search teams and used to store vital medical and rescue equipment.

A new vehicle has been costed at £65,000. We as a team need your help to raise these funds so we can continue to operate and respond to those who need us. Your support to our cause is vital and without amazing people like yourselves, donating, we simply could not do what we do.

NDSART respond 24/7/365 to calls from Devon & Cornwall Policeand South Western Ambulance Service for assistance to searchfor missing persons and recover injured persons from remote and inaccessible areas across Devon.
