Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am aiming to cycle 300k from Grenoble to Avignon over five mountains including the notorious Mont Ventoux, in three days at the beginning of June 2012.

I've decided to take on this cycling challenge in loving memory of my Dad, who passed away in February 2012, having just been diagnosed with mesothelioma.

This terrible disease is caused by exposure to asbestos, and cannot be cured. But I hope that by raising money for Mesothelioma UK, there can be more support in future for those suffering from the disease. Diagnosis is frequently slow and treatment limited, and more must be done for the increasing number of people developing it - often because they were exposed to asbestos in their place of work.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
