UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, MY UNDERTAKING OF THE NATIONAL 3 PEAKS CHALLENGE IS BEING DELAYED UNTIL APPROX. MARCH 2011!
Hi all,
I have chosen to undertake the National Three Peaks Challenge on the 21st of August 2010, in aid of LOROS, the Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice.
The Challenge entails climbing the 3 Highest Mountains in Great Britain - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales, in 24 hours. Starting with one foot in the water at Fort William and ending with one foot in the water at Caernarthon.
This is an immense feat, with a journey of over 500 miles to traverse.
I have chosen to donate to LOROS because it is a charity that has a great personal meaning to me.
On the 4th March 2008, i lost my grandmother, Beverley Sword, to a long standing battle with Cancer.
for the final few weeks of her life, she was cared for by the fantastic staff at the Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice.
However, LOROS is a Charity organisation and therefore must create their own funds via donations and fundraising
LOROS needed to raise £4 million of voluntary income for the Financial Year 2006-2007 alone in order to continue to provide its vital services free to patients and their families throughout Leicestershire and Rutland.
.So please, donate now to this cause and help me to make a difference.
i am also raising money for Help for Heroes, for the same challenge. So you can choose which charity you would like to donate to:
