2010 Brighton Marathon · 18 April 2010 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to run the Brighton Marathon on 18th April, 2010. I realise that people run marathon's all the time and that sponsorship requests can be relentless at times and I tried to think of longer, harder, tougher events I could do to make it seem your pledge was for a superhuman effort but I have come to the realisation, that for me a marathon is tough! To make it seem even harder I intend to reduce my beer intake in the weeks preceeding the race! I also intend to run it in under 4 hours.

I am raising money for the Alzheimer's Society who lead the fight against Dementia. 1 in 3 people over 65 will have dementia and it has been descibed as the gravest health issue we face as a society.

Thanks :-)

Matt
