I am swimming  1 mile in a open water reserviour to raise money for Anthony Nolan, in the summer of 2013 after extensive Chemo my wife Donna was given a chance of a stem cell transplant. Due to her rare blood genetics finding a donor was far from simple and with the expertise of Anthony Nolan a acceptable match was found in Germany.

Being told they had found an acceptable match was a big day for a little family as it meant we had hope. Hope of more time together and an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness  to a stranger who was willing to give someone he knew nothing about a chance.

The transplant meant Donna was able to see her baby grow in to a toddler and see her second birthday, to see another Christmas and allowed us to marry on a magical day i will cherish for all time. 

With additional funding Anthony Nolan can help find better matches for more patients. They can deliver hope and time to those facing terrible diseases.
