Story

I will be walking 20 miles along the Welsh Coastal Path on Sat 11th June 2022, from castle-to-castle, to raise money for Marie Curie.

Viv Slater, MBE, my nan, sadly passed away, stricken with cancer, in November 2013. I have always wanted to do something in her memory, and this seems like the perfect event, albeit 9 years later.

My nan was a trooper, living a very healthy lifestyle before being diagnosed with cancer, which seemed brutally unfair. Kind and compassionate yet tenacious and self aware, she was a force to be reckoned with. I miss her.

During her final moments, Marie Curie provided awesome support, not only physically, but offering emotionally intimate support to my mum and the family during difficult times. My mum volunteers for her local Marie Curie branch in Borth-Y-Gest, and I'd love to support her, and the charity for all the awesome work they undertake.
