Story
Almost 2 years ago our family lost my Grandad to cancer. We were all so close to him and it was a huge hole in our family when he was taken from us. I was going to run the Great Eastern last year but had to pull out due to injury so this year I am even more determined. So this year I am running to raise money for Sue Ryder, and raising money for Thorpe Hall Hospice specifically. This is because they looked after my Grandad in the last few weeks of his life before passing away from cancer. Thorpe Hall did an amazing job making sure he was as comfortable as possible. If you could donate any amount it would be very much appreciated. Even the price of a coffee would make a huge difference.
This isn't going to be an easy challenge to complete but it's nothing compared to what my Grandad had to go through in the last few months of his life.
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
