Story
This Sunday, 30th October Fat Matt will be running The Great South Run. It has to be said, this is quite along way, 10 miles!!!
I am running on behalf of the Anthony Nolan Trust and although due to my bad organisation skills I've left it late, I hope to raise as much money as possible.
My chosen charity, is quite simple. Back in 2006, a very close friend of mine Owen Davies passed away at the age of 32 (the age I am now).
I'm sure we'd all agree, this was far too young an age to die. Owen died of a blood disease wich required a sucessful bone marrow transplant. Unfotunately ,although having a transplant, Owen did not survive.
The Anthony Nolan Trust helps raise money to help those who are in a similar situation as Owen.
Please sponsor me, however little for Sunday's race.So hopefully in future more people will survive this type of illness and go on to enjoy a healthy life that I'm lucky to have and that Owen sadly does not.
Matt (Please be advised I will not be running dressed as Superman, lol)
