ANIRIDIA is a rare, congenital medical condition affecting the eyes. Most people with aniridia have all or part of their irises missing - some are partially sighted or blind, others may have near normal sight.
Close to home, this condition affects Finlay Butler - Simon and Jenna's 18 month old champion. They learn more about this rare eye condition as Finlay grows and immensely value the expertise of Moorfields Eye Hospital, but particularly the guidance from Aniridia Network UK.
Any monies raised will be put to very good use - helping people with aniridia as well as their families, doctors and teachers to be hopeful, confident, supported and well informed about aniridia and related conditions.
Every pound counts - this condition affects 1 in 50,000 and as a result funding is very hard to come by. The charity itself is run by people with the condition and is a real source of encouragement of what is possible.
THE RIDE begins as London nightclubs are kicking out. I'll dissect Chilterns and Cotswolds until I reach Worcestershire. Oil the chain.. pump the tyres.. then head directly back to the big smoke. Approximately 15 hours in the saddle on 17th June.
Thanks for taking time to read this, now please show your support. mh
