Story
Assalmu Alaikum dear friends I am in Bangladesh with #TeamRed www.capfoundations.com distributing boats to empower impoverished families to become self -sufficient.
“Give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach him to fish you feed a family for life”…
Why is this project necessary?
Bangladesh is prone to flooding due to being situated on the Brahmaputra River Delta (also known as the Ganges Delta). Coastal flooding, combined with the bursting of river banks is common, and severely affects the landscape and society of Bangladesh. 80% of Bangladesh is a floodplain.
Yearly flooding during monsoon season and other forms of inclement weather have forced the people of Bangladesh to adjust their lifestyle in order to prepare for the worst. One of the way of survival and bringing food to the table is by fishing – the life of a majority rural districts in Bangladesh depends on fishing and by providing a Boat it is to empower a farmer to stand on their own feet by selling fish and managing their livelihood.
I will be personally monitoring this particular project with the Cap Team In Sha Allah.
I have set a massive target to fundraise for 5 families without the means to earn an income and who are financially struggling and trying to survive a life of poverty.
£300 will cover for a Boat package with the followings:
One complete Boat | A Life Jacket | All Fishing Materials and Satha - a fishing umbrella.
Please join me in giving this opportunity to families without an income or means of survival, and secure them a basic life through fishing. This also means that these families are also able to utilise the boat for transportation of children for education and medical visits.
You can contribute towards a full boat and have your name engraved to make this personalised or donate any amount that is ok for you.
May Allah’s blessings be with you and us all.
Wassalam
