Story
I’m taking part in the Football to Amsterdam, riding the 145 miles from London to the Ajax stadium in Amsterdam, the Grand Depart Classic, riding the whole 192 km of the first road stage of the 2019 Tour de France, the week before the pros, and Ride London 2019, riding the 100 mile route around central London and Surrey.
The timeline is as follows:
- June 7-9 - Football to Amsterdam
- June 28-30 - Grand Depart Classic
- August 4 - Ride London
- September 6 - Worlds Classic
I initially signed up for the Ride London event, then got wind of the Grand Depart and thought "why not?", then someone at PCUK told my wife about the Football to Amsterdam ride being the third event and it doesn't clash with the other two so I thought I'd do them all!
I’ve signed up to this to push my limits, in order to save men’s lives, but I need your help.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 10,800 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
Your donation will make an impact, so please see this as your chance to do something amazing. My wife Hayley is funded by Prostate Cancer UK in order to continue her research work so I hear firsthand what good it does. It could be the best thing you do today.
My employer Aspect Capital has also graciously agreed to match the amount raised so any of your donations will be doubled.
Thank you.
