I'm supporting this amazing appeal by running my first ever marathon in Leeds on 14th May 2023. 

My Grandpa (Gramps) sadly passed away of Multiple Systems Atrophy in 2005, so causes that are able to help with nervous system conditions like MND are close to my heart. 

My Gramps was a keen sports watcher and particularly enjoyed Rugby League. Thankfully, before his illness he was able to watch Rob Burrow at Headingley stadium in the early part of his career. Gramps was always keen to talk about how brilliant a player he was, and not just because he is the namesake of our family! I in turn watched Rob in action during the hugely successful treble winning 2015 season.

It has been really sad to see Rob's condition deteriorate over the last 3 years but my memories of seeing him play and hearing my Gramps talking fanatically about him will never fade.
