To my fellow captains across the Birmingham Football League and wider grassroots football regions:

I write this on a Saturday afternoon when we are usually about to become rivals, an opponent for an hour and a half (after I've probably just lost the coin toss), but today I'm appealing for us to join forces in a bid to help raise funds for the NHS during this pandemic. 

Let's see if we can get all of our players and anyone involved in our clubs to donate £5 or anything they can to contribute to beating COVID-19 and more importantly to say thank you to the NHS who are putting their own lives and families at risk everyday. 

I'm sure all of us at some point during our high-flying grassroots careers have needed the NHS to mend our broken legs, treat an ACL or put something back in it's socket! Here's our chance to give something back and show our support!

The NHS are the ones who are going to get us back to normality but they need our help so let's do our bit! This season has been cancelled and I'm sure we all want next season to start on time so let's give anything we can!

I've never looked forward to pre-season as much as this!!
