Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For the past 2 years, what started out as a joke to irritate my Father and other half, has turned into abit more of a pilgrimage with purpose.
In the past I've suffered from Alopecia, and unfortunately for awhile had quite a sizeable part of my hair missing (and an eyebrow which looks really odd in photos..) however I've been fortunate that mine grew back. Alot of people are left with permanent hair loss. I therefore decided to grow my hair in order to donate to the Little Princess trust, who make wigs for children suffering from hair loss - both from Alopecia and Cancer.
As well as donating my hair, I'm raising money in memory of my Father in-law, who sadly passed away 1yr 7months ago from Gastro-Oesophageal-Junction Cancer (stomach cancer).
Chris went through multiple operations and rounds of chemotherapy, fighting for several years past what was expected for the type of Cancer he had.
During this time Chris was supported by the OOSO (Oxford Oesophogeal & Stomach Organisation), a specialist organisation who work closely with the upper GI unit in funding patient treatment & care, and providing support to families or friends who are affected by Oesophageal or Stomach Cancer.
They did an amazing job in helping him and his family, and I'm looking to try and contribute in my own way to two charities close to my heart.
Thanks for your donations x
