2024 is the year Marcus & I have decided to put ourselves through the pain of a 16 week winter training schedule, in order to complete the Manchester Marathon on 14th April. Our sole aim is to raise as much money as possible for Christie's. Christie's is unfortunately a place where both our families have spent a substantial amount of time and thanks to their care, we would like to give back. Below is a snippet as to why we are raising funds for The Christie.

Neal - This year marks 20 years since I lost Debbie, my mum and great friend to many. Debbie spent many days & nights in Christie's over the 4 year battle and received excellent care during that time. In 2023, Paul, my dad was diagnosed with Prostate cancer, thanks to the care and treatment he received at Christie's, he has made a full recovery. 

Marcus - In 2018 and again in the April of 2020, Beth was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. During both times she was under the care of The Christie she received an outstanding level of care. Over the past year, my mum has unfortunately been in a similar position and while battling and beating cancer, The Christie have been an unbelievable place of care and support. The team have played a vital role in both their journeys, providing not only medical expertise but also compassion and comfort that have made a massive difference to them. We are very grateful for the care and genuine kindness shown by The Christie, which has been instrumental in both my mum's and girlfriends journey towards beating cancer.
