Story
When I was accepted to Newcastle University my dad jokingly challenged me to run the Great North Run during my time up North. So, although I will have graduated by September, I'll be running it for the MS Society- better late than never!
MS is a chronic neurological condition which affects your nerves, therefore it affects many different parts of your body, meaning everyone's MS is different. In recent years, my mum and her sister were both diagnosed with MS. Although MS isn't life threatening, it is life limiting, and it has had a major impact on both of their lives, stopping them from doing lots of the things they loved such as riding, walking and skiing.
There is currently no cure, but donations would go towards the continually advancing research aiming to make MS more manageable for people in the future. In addition, anything I can raise would act as an enormous thank you for the support the MS society have given my family over the past years.
