How can anyone find running enjoyable. Just did a timed run for the triathlon and I think thats not bad for someone who never runs. Right now to get 10-12 minutes off that. Should be easy if I don't stop and walk so much :D

The training has been going excellent recently. Actually feeling like I can do this now. Well deserved rest today now before I go crazy again next week

Hi there everyone. thanks for coming to my page.

im taking part in Cosmeston Sprint Triathalon in a couple of weeks and i thought, hey if im going to be crazy and do a triathalon which will probably end up killing me im going to try and raise some money for Parkinson's UK Charity in the process.

a couple of years ago my mum was diagnoised with parkinsons and have been trying to think of some ways that i could raise some money to help because my mum means the world to me so i thought it would be brilliant to raise money for parkinson's UK.

so please can you give what ever you can, £1 or £100 whatever you want, i would just be so happy for anything that we could donate for them to help with research. even £1 can make a big difference. here are some of the things that your money could help with

  • £2 is enough to pay for our DVD 'Being There' to be sent to someone recently diagnosed with Parkinson's.
  • £26 could pay for one of our nurses to answer calls on our helpline for an hour.
  • £150 is enough to fund a Parkinson's nurse for a day, meaning that we can provide specialist care for people with the condition.
  • £1,000 could fund a cutting edge research project for a week.

for more information on what parkinsons is are how you can help please visit www.parkinsons.org.uk.

Thank you so much for donating and its been nice knowing you as im sure this will finish me off.

cheers

Mat

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
