I have chosen to fundraise in Memory of Matty Hatton, an inspirational young man who sadly gained his angel wings after a long battle with medulloblastoma. Before Matty passed, he left his mum a wish list. On his list was a request for his mum to close his bank account and make a donation to Kidscan Children's Cancer Research so they could find better treatments for other children diagnosed with cancer. It truly showed how selfless Matty was. Kidscan Children's Cancer Research are a charity funding research across the UK to find new and improved treatments for children with cancer. They believe that no child should ever have to think about what happens when they gain their angel wings and through research their aim is to create a world where every child diagnosed can survive cancer and go on to live a long healthy life. I am therefore fundraising with a target of £500, the same amount that Matty donated to Kidscan, so that in Mattys memory we can make a difference.
