We will be climbing Mount Snowdon on the 22nd of September in the hope of raising funds for Macmillian cancer support.

There will be small group of us from Matalan Dewsbury and a few surrounding stores climbing the 3560 ft Mountain, we will also be spending two nights camping at the base. In our small group there will be a straightners addict, a fish and chips lover and a self confessed couch potatoe. So other the next 10 weeks we will be full steam ahead in our training whether that be hitting the gym, dodging the chippy or trying out dry shampoo!

We have chosen to support Macmillan because of the fantastic support that they have given our family and friends. Everybody is affected by cancer one way or another during there lifes.

Here is a quick summary of what our contribution could fund for Macmillan:

£3,333 could keep a keep Macmillan support and information centre stocked with all the resources it needs for a month.

£350 could pay for somebody with cancer a convalescent break.

£52 could buy a liquidiser for somebody who can no longer eat solid food as a result of cancer.

£17.50 could pay for one or more memebrs to go on a social event.
