Story

In conjunction with the Rotary Club of Sacramento, Laura and I are raising money for the Sacramento Children's Home Crisis Nursery.  We hope you'll donate (and you can always come hike and bike with us too, if you'd like)!

In early October, we'll hike and bike a combo of 100 miles -- hiking in the Sierras and biking on our beautiful American River Parkway.  And, all of this will be done within the 100-hour Challenge period between October 1-5!

Especially important in these difficult times, the Sacramento Children's Home Crisis Nursery protects our community's most vulnerable children by offering a safe, supportive environment during times of crisis.  The Crisis Nursery provides free, 24-hour emergency childcare for children from birth to age five.  This reduces the incidence of child abuse and decreases family violence by offering a safe place for children and support services to adults.  The Crisis Nursery spares children from trauma and strengthens families.

Thank you for supporting this worthy cause!
