Story
I cannot make ventilators but I can make reusable fabric masks. I want to offer them to those who would need them. It is handmade with nose wire and filter pocket. You can insert the filter to these masks.
As a Japanese person I normally wear a mask in the hay fever season so that I don’t sneeze over people. In Japan wearing masks is considered as showing respect for others.
In this challenging time, I want to support local food banks that provide vital support for the most vulnerable and struggling families. That's why I am raising fund for Fareshare South West that supports these food banks in Bristol through donations for these masks.
Masks are gifts to you and I am only asking for those who are able to offer donations to do so as I recognise some of you are having difficult time financially. I don't want money as a barrier in accessing masks as I believe masks should be available for all. So please ask for masks even if you feel unable to donate. Some people very kindly made donation without asking for masks as they wanted to support those who are unable to donate to have masks.
I am donating materials and all the money raised here will go to Fareshare South West directly.
If you want a mask please email me at: unsuicloudwater@gmail.com and I can send you the photos of patterns for you to choose from.
