Story
A mosque is the best of places. It is more blessed and virtuous than all other places.
Building masjids is our ongoing campaign to facilitate worship in places that are rural and without basic community buildings.
We have completed many projects over the last decade across the island of Zanzibar and its neighbouring islands.
Our current campaign is to build a Masjid in Ukutini, South region of Pemba Island. This masjid is desperately needed by a community of over 800 students, locals and hospital visitors. Below is a birds eye view of the Ukutini community.
We envisage building a masjid to accommodate over 200 worshipers. The cost of this build will be £40,000.
Children normally attend madrasah's under make-shift palm leaves and huts, deep in rural areas of Zanzibar, under the scorching heat of the sun.
How Can You Be a Part?
You can reap the rewards of building a place of worship by donating to build a Masjid in a loved one's name as Sadaqa Jariyah. The reward for building a mosque is great and ongoing; for every prayer said inside a mosque you've helped build, Allah (SWT) will reward you in Jannah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise.
Why Should I Donate?
Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allahs pleasure, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise. [Bukhari]
By building a masjid, you will not only earn the reward of providing a community with a house of Allah (swt), but your Sadaqah Jariyah will continue giving benefit for generations to come insha Allah.
When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them, (Hadith, Muslim) Build a mosque in this world and build your palace in Jannah.
