Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Myself, Adam, Steve Higgins and a few friends are about to take on a new challenge on the bank holiday in August where we aim to cycle from Edinburgh Castle to Buckingham Palace in 4 days.
To make sure you get an idea of just how sore our backsides will be after those 4 days, the total distance we aim to ride is 440 miles which works out about 110 per day.........Ouch.
We are determined, however, that our prostates do not go through this for nothing and our plan is to raise money for a condition and charity that is very close to our hearts.
Parkinsons UK
Most people who get Parkinson's are aged 50 or over but younger people can get it too. One in 20 is under the age of 40.
People with Parkinson's don't have enough of a chemical called dopamine because some nerve cells in their brain have died.
Without dopamine people can find that their movements become slower so it takes longer to do things.
There's currently no cure for Parkinson's and we don't yet know why people get the condition.
So please dig deep and donate now.
