Story

Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing this challenge to raise money for Alzheimers Society which is the leading support and research charity for people with dementia and for those who care for them.

One in three people over 65 will die with dementia and with the ageing population (of which I am a prime example!) the current figure of over 750,000 sufferers is likely to rise to over a million by 2025.

Anything which helps this number of sufferers has got to be good for them, their carers and for the wider society.

I am determined to walk 50 km in 12 hours, from Putney to Runneymead, by taking part in the Thames Path Challenge on 29th September. If anyone wants to join me or help me train by accompanying me on walks, I would be absolutely delighted - just let me know!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

So please dig deep and donate now.
