Story
In December 2018 my mum was diagnosed with Motor Neurones Disease (MND). MND is a terminal illness which affects the brain and nerves and at present there is no cure or real treatment to delay the progression of the disease. My mum was a chatty, bubbly, active person but over the past few years she has lost the abilty to move, talk, eat and drink. Despite all this my mum stays in good spirits and still manages to raise a smile when with family and friends- she really is amazing!
On the 2nd of October 2022 I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). MNDA has been invaluable in their support to my parents over the last few years, offering advice, support and equipment when needed. Money raised for the charity will help them continue to care for people with MND and also help fund their ongoing research, so that one day a cure will be found for this awful disease.
I'm excited that I have been given the opportunity to run in London and raise vital funds for MNDA. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.
