Thank you all so much . I wanted to take part in the London marathon again and who better to do it for than Amnesty International. Does anyone's training plan go 'to plan'? Mine hasn't; having thought i'd left plenty of time for double weeks etc i managed to give my knee a really nasty bang when i was cycling.. which put me back quite a bit. My last 10 miles 'long' run felt harder than the 16 miles the week before! So, why did i do it??
There are loads of amazing people in the world who, despite persecution continue to fight against injustice. Amnesty International plays an incredbily important role by campainigng and highlighting their work. At the moment there are women in Mozambique who are repeatedly arrested for demonstrating against the worsening economic conditions and in support of those who have disappeared. You can read more of them and others by visiting the Amnesty International website
