Story
Hello everyone!
This event has been postponed, as such I shall now be participating in the Forces March 2022, where I shall be taking part in the event.
I will be participating in the Forces March raising vital funds for the Veterans Charity.
The Veterans Charity formed in 2008 supports veterans of all ages who are facing hardship or are struggling through everyday life for what ever reason without prejudice; whether that be doing their food shops for them, delivering food parcels, clothing for them and their families household items and equipment, mobile phones to help them keep in touch and not feel isolated or just visiting to keep them company.
The Forces March is a recreation of the training march undertaken by the brave men of the newly formed Airbourne Division during WW2 who's mission would eventually be to lead the assault on Pegasus Bridge leading to the D-Day liberation. The march see's participants follow the same 135 mile route taken by those men over 78 years ago; over a total of 5 days we shall travel between Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast to Bulford Camp in Wiltshire. The average distance covered each day will be in excess of 26 Miles, 5 marathons in 5 days what could go wrong!
This is no mean feat and will require determination above physical ability, It would be fantastic if you could give, whatever you can, to help the Veterans Charity to continue their amazing work and to help those brave men and women who have given their service for us.
Even more information on the event, including if you want to join in!, can be found on the website just here: https://www.forcesmarch.org.uk/
