Cambridge Town and Gown 2019 · 20 October 2019 ·
My new wife, three of her closest friends and i will be taking part in the Cambridge Town and Gown 10k run on the 20th October 2019.
We will be running (and rolling) in aid of Muscular dystrophy Uk, a charity close to our hearts, who have supported my wife personally throughout the many hurdles MD has bought over the years. So our aim is to raise as much money as possible to donate back to the charity!
There are approximately 70,000 people in the UK living with one of 60 plus types of muscle wasting conditions. Although there is already alot of research going into treatments, funding is constantly necessary to continue to reach more clinical trials and approve more treatments.
However, MDUK don't just support research projects, they provide all individuals and families affected with MD with much needed support and advocacy services, grants for vital equipment, campaigns to bring about positive changes and so much more.
You can read about how they use your donations here:

This will be my first 10k run, the training is tough but i am persevering, and am looking forward to the event, and hopefully more events in the future.
We would be so grateful for any sized donation you might be able to make, and if you could share our page far and wide, hopefully we can smash our target and have a large donation to help such a great charity that helps such a vast number of people in so many ways!
