On the 6th April - 27th April 2023 I will be taking on the notoriously challenging trek to Everest base camp, then ice climbing and negotiating the Kumbu ice fall on route to camp 1, in support of my good friend and fellow veteran Hari Budha Magar, who served with the Ghurka regiment for 15 years.

I met Hari some years back in our recovery stages of Headley Court the military rehabilitation centre, he was also injured while serving in Afghanistan resulting in losing both his legs, he has certainly not let things stop him and now Hari is attempting to be the first double above knee amputee to climb one of the highest mountains in the world.

I will be a part of a group that the Pilgrim Bandits charity are taking consisting of injured and other amputee veterans from the military and blue light services.

This is truly a once in a lifetime trip with other veterans supporting a world's first.
