Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On May 15th, hundreds of people (including me) slept out under the stars or in the cathedral to help raise money for homelessness in Winchester.
The Winchester Churches organised a Big Sleep Out to raise money for Winchester's Nightshelter and Trinity Centre (the city's day centre for homeless people).
They're both great organisations that make a real difference - and it would be great if you could sponsor me (or anyone else) for the sleep out.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor someone: the Nightshelter and Trinity Centre get your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
It's a great and urgent cause and both charities are very stretched by high demand. 60 people a month are turned away by the Night Shelter due to lack of space. On average, 20 of the 50 people who use the Trinity Centre report that they slept rough the night before.
Please sponsor me: every penny makes a real difference.
