London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·

Our incredible London Marathon team are taking on 26.2 miles to raise funds to improve diagnosis and treatment, and to fund research into finding a cure; to raise awareness and to give people hope, comfort and confidence to live freer, fuller lives.

Story

Crohn's & Colitis UK are the UK's leading charity for Crohn's and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of.

I am taking part in the 2023 TCS London Marathon to support Crohn's & Colitis UK, and to help raise awareness. This charity is important to me because my Wife was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis after suffering with symptoms for many years. I have witnessed first hand her struggle to get diagnosed and the effects that the illness has on her daily, especially having our two children along the way. She takes medication every day to help but at this time Crohn’s and Colitis are lifelong diseases that have no known cure, something which Crohn’s and Colitis UK are striving to change.

I hope to have half my wife’s strength in dealing with this Illness, when competing in the marathon. Your donation can help Crohn's & Colitis UK's mission to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and raise awareness.
