I'm raising funds for Maggie's at the Royal Marsden because it is a quite remarkable place. It offers safety, support and a respite to people with cancer, their friends and family. When you are at your lowest ebb, they give compassion and support generously and unstintingly. 

When Andrea's cancer returned during Covid, they helped me to support her. When we found out the most awful news about the disease's unrelenting progress, they were on hand to support us all and they have continued to offer amazing help to me and our daughters in the grim aftermath. 

About me

'Some of the gear, not much idea' is a pretty accurate description of my cycling experience so far. The furthest I've ever ridden is once around Richmond Park so this feels like quite a challenge - especially as I believe that hills are involved. Gulp!
