We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

On Sunday 15th September 2019 dad will be cycling 100 miles around the Suffolk Coast, to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

For those of you that don’t know, earlier this year, a few months after his 60th birthday, dad was diagnosed with Posterior Cortical Atrophy, a rare form of young onset dementia.

We have a long road ahead of us, but as a family, we are determined to do something constructive with the hand that fate has dealt us, and raise awareness of Dementia , whilst supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK to find a cure.

There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025, and soar to a further 2 million by 2051. There are 225,000 who will develop dementia this year, that's one every three minutes. Alzheimer’s Research UK’s mission is to bring about the first life-changing dementia treatment by 2025
