Story
I have set myself quite the challenge! Running the London Marathon - the idea was put forward by my fellow running friend jokingly....only for us to actually go ahead and think, why not? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I'm very grateful to Cancer Research Wales for their charity place.
We all know family members and friends who are affected by cancer in some way or another unfortunately. A huge amount of work has been done in the research field but there is still so much work to be done to help reduce numbers of affected people.
All money raised for Cancer Research Wales is focussed on work within Wales, to benefit people in Wales.
This will be my first attempt at the iconic London marathon and the training is in full flow!
If you are able to help support Cancer Research Wales in any small way, I would be very grateful along with the Cancer Research Wales & marathon running team.
Happy running! London here we come!

Hear directly from Cancer Research Wales on the work they're doing, below:
Our vision is a Wales united against cancer through world-class research. Together we will reduce the impact of cancer and improve unacceptable survival rates. We will work to make sure that the people of Wales do not have to accept cancer as a life-threatening disease. And we will do this by supporting the best cancer researchers and clinicians to make discoveries which will transform lives. Our DNA is what makes us human, but its also what sets us apart. Its what makes us who we are, and ultimately, its what drives us forward to change cancer outcomes across Wales.Wales is a part of our very make-up. Everything we do is for the people of Wales, and our work is putting our country on the map as a place of innovation and research, while changing lives for cancer patients here in Wales.
