Ben was an amazing and inspirational person who's wonderfully laid-back attitude to obstacles and enthusiasm for tackling any challenge head-on were infectious. He was one of the most dependable, big-hearted and honourable people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We are all going to miss him beyond words.

 

Ben died on January 26th 2013 when he fell while climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland.

 

Medicines for Muheza is a charity that supports a hospital in Tanzania where Ben worked for a short time one summer and where his Mother has also worked in the past. There is some information on the hospital on the website http://www.teule.or.tz/. The hospital provides care for the local population including outreach clinics as well as hosting a nurse training school.
