We support people with Tourettes Syndrome to live their lives to the full

Story

As many of you know my Son Aiden suffers from Tics and Tourettes. Although we were aware that as part of his condition he could suffer bouts of depression and extreme anxiety, nothing could have prepared us for this year.

During the covid Pandemic he has suffered more than most. His anxiety has rocketed causing him trouble with the simplest everyday things. As his anxiety rises so does the intensity and frequency of his tics. Some days we have struggled to get him out of bed let alone the house, and to just be able to hold a conversation.

Using coping strategies provided by Tourettes action, we have gradually started to get our son back. He started his new school last year armed with his ta passport to give his teachers all the information they need about his condition and needs. He has managed to forge new friendships and is gradually allowing his friends to see the real Aiden.

To show my support for Tourettes Action I have decided to run both the London and Manchester marathons on the 3rd of 10th of October 2021.

Please support me on my double marathon challenge by donating to this fantastic little charity so they can continue giving vital advice and support to families like ours.
