Story

My name is Martin, and I am delighted to be one of the runners taking
part in the Sandals Foundation Island Run 2023.  This is a four-day-long charity event, and we
are aiming to run 100 km to raise a total between us of £100,000. All the money will go towards helping
sick children fighting childhood cancer, and the opportunity for emergency care
for premature babies in Antigua.

Please can you help me to raise £5,000 for and on behalf the meetings industry to support this very worthy cause?

As a father of two children one of whom was born prematurely in
2020 at just 25 weeks, I am passionate about supporting families going through
a similar situation. The care my son Sebastian received was truly incredible
and he is now a fit, bright, and healthy boy. We are incredibly lucky and
blessed.

I don’t know what I would have done without the support from the NHS
and my son probably wouldn’t be with us today. I believe that every family should
be helped no matter where they're from, especially those without access to emergency
care like the NHS. The fact that this charity is providing the support that children
deserve is amazing. Please support me and the Sandals Foundation Island Run by
donating what you can for this incredible and lifesaving charity. Thank you so
much for the donation.

The Sandals Foundation Island Run - Antigua 2023 aims to raise money for the SickKids Caribbean Initiative (SCI) and the Paediatric Unit of Mount St. John's Medical Centre to help improve children's health across the across the Caribbean. A lack of access to the right medical equipment and resources can significantly affect a country's ability to provide the proper medical attention to its children. That's why this years event, The Sandals Foundation Island Run - Antigua 2023, will benefit the SickKids Caribbean Initiative (SCI) and the Paediatric Unit of Mount St. John's Medical Centre, both long-time Sandals Foundation beneficiaries.
