Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am 84 years old and have planned a challenge 10 weeks cycling 80 miles per week (800 Miles in 10 weeks) to raise money supporting the work of ILA to support future of children in Iran whose parents were executed and are at threat of being used as child soldiers. I usually cycle about 50 miles a week nowadays, and at this age, and with many family troubles and ailments this is a difficult, yet very encouraging and uplifting challenge for me and I have gone beyond my physical limits to do as I can have an impact in the lives of women and children of Iran whom I have supported throughout years.
I always I want to be the voice of those children and raise awareness through the ILA projects. ILA supports men, women and children that are being persecuted just for wanting to live a normal life, the free will and free choice to decide over their lives, education and course of life, express themselves freely and engage with other cultures and beliefs. Their work is based on a major campaign of raising awareness and education, achieving results by international campaigns that shed light on these matters and force changes in the Iran regime's conduct.
They are the voice of children who have lost parents through executions, and raise awareness through documentaries, conferences, publications and high profile events which have ensured saving many prisoners of conscience and women activists who try to survive in hostile environment. the incredible hope that exist within the Iranian people inside Iran and the volunteers of ILA is beyond expression.
This is why I believe my 800 mile bike cycle ryde will make a difference and I should be most grateful if you would sponsor me in this endeavor. I will put images and updates on my efforts so you can catch up with what I have done.
