Story

Thank you for visiting my page.... This is the reason I am raising money for The Rainbow Centre for Children...

Ian and I were not only best mates but started out at nursery together, primary school and then high school... This is when we learned of his diagnosis of cancer and unfortunately lost the fight to it at the age of 15.

Now I have children of my own, I can't imagine anyone having to go through what Ian went through. Not a day goes past when I don't think of him, what he would be doing now as an adult, if he would have been married and if his kids would be friends with my girls......

Whilst enduring the battle with cancer, Ian was one of the first residents at the charity I am running for, The Rainbow Centre for Children, who were there to provide comfort to him and to his family. This is the chosen charity for my fundraising. I would like to think that by running the marathon any money raised as a result will go towards the team and the amazing work this charity does for children who are in the same terminal situation as Ian was.

I would be thrilled if you could donate whatever you can spare to help me achieve my goal of £2000 for this amazing charity and to honour the memory of Ian Arthur Curzon....
