Fundraising for The Puffin Appeal

Story

As a young student, I was one of a group of people who supported Brendan Foster’s preparations for the first ever Great North Run in 1981. Because of my involvement over the years, I have never actually taken part in the run itself...until now!

This year is the Great North Run’s 30^th anniversary and on Sunday, September 19^th I will be taking part in the event for the first time.

I am raising money for the Puffin Appeal, which has been set up to create a world-class childhood respiratory unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in , and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

These charities are very close to my heart so please give what you can. I will share all donations equally between these two great causes.
