Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was lucky enough to have taken part in UWCB event in aid of
cancer research. I witnessed first hand the support that was shown by
everyone.
Men and women putting themselves through it for there own
personal reasons or in aid of a loved one was remarkable .
Each day I live in fear that the cancer i had will return. Every eight weeks
I have to attend hospital for check ups and tests .Always Having that feeling of being and feeling alone. Spending the rest of my life with no saliva and never being able to taste again.i wake up every morning in agony wear my throat has dried out and cracked.dreading the summers and the heat as im relying on bottles of water just to have a wet mouth. The only way I can get food down properly is with water
Also feeling that im not good enough or why would anyone take a gamble on me. Then reality hitting home when I hear the words Martin
your still in remission your body isnt like it used to be,That’s just me. There are a lot worse cases out there.I no as iv spoken to many over the time i spent in hospital. the staff are fantastic and the work they do is second to none.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that it would have been me.
None of us would ever think that . For a year I couldn’t eat and was put
through radiotherapy and chemotherapy hospitalized and wanting to give up.It was hell, words cant explain.
The only support I had was my mum who was 63 years old and was dying. My Nan who was 93 years old feeling helpless and sad because she couldn't help.. Only then do you see how much we take life for granted.so in a year and a half i fault cancer then lost the two most precious women in my life, my mum and my Nan, and then feeling guilty.
I’m not writing this for a sob story. I’m reaching out for support. I’m
not even meant to be doing this but I’ll not say lol.
If i can raise some money to put to a good cause then it’s worth it to me.
i feel its the only way I can say thank you and to give something back. Even if
it’s a £1 donated it’s still going to a cause that could help a loved
one.
