As some of you know Mum lost her battle with cancer in
January 2021. I took on a challenge in 2019 to mark Dad's 10th anniversary and
I thought that I would mark my turning 50 with a challenge which raises some much-needed
money for a charity which helped Mum at the time she needed it the most.

So, what is the challenge I hear you ask, it’s a simple
little ride around the Lake District. I shall set out from Grasmere at around
6am on 7^th May 2023 and do a loop of some of the lakes returning to
Grasmere having covered approximately 112 miles and climbed 10,000 feet,
including some rather chunky climbs such as Hardknott Pass which comes at
around 93 miles. And yes, for those non cycling people I will be doing it in
one day ideally the target is in about 7 and a half hours. So a reasonable
shift on the bike.
