Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year i've run the 53 mile Highland Fling in April & completed it in 10hrs 48mins.

In July i ran the 70 mile Great Glen Ultra & completed it in 14hrs 16mins.

My last race of this year is the 100km CCC (Courmayeur/Champex/Chamonix) with over 6,000 meters of ascent at the end of August. Training has unfortunately come to a full stop after picking up an injury at the Great Glen, so this mammoth race is going to be a LOT harder than I'd hoped it would be.

My brother David has suffered with Parkinson's for approx 14 years. Towards the end of last year he needed to be moved into a care home & for the past 2 months he's been moved to a hospital. The difference i've seen in him is beyond belief (we don't live near each other, so i don't get to see him often). He's now pretty much unresponsive in a bed in hospital & as you can imagine is very hard to deal with for all involved.

Thanks for anything you can spare & a huge thank you to the customers of Ellis Brigham in Aviemore.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
