We are the MS Society. We are strong enough to stop MS together.

Story

Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

Every day in the UK, 14 people are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. It's a life-long, chronic condition for which there is currently no cure. The Multiple Sclerosis Society are fighting to improve treatment and care to help people with MS take control of their lives. They also fund research to beat MS for good.

Tom and I are a father and son team from Surrey. I am retired while Tom is a golf pro working in Cumbria. We want to do our bit to support the MS Society in their work by doing the annual 10in10 Challenge. This involves climbing 10 Lake District peaks in under 10 hours. It is a tough challenge but we did it last year and are proud to have another go!

The walk starts at the Swinside Inn in the Newlands Valley. It goes over to Buttermere and back covering just over 16 miles. The 10 peaks this year are Causey Pike, Sail, Crag Hill, Wandope, Whiteless Pike, High Snockrigg, Robinson, Dale Head, High Spy and Maiden Moor.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks to everyone who supports us!
