Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Martin and Graham's JustGiving page.

We decided to run the London Marathon 2013 after we successully ran a few miles on holiday last year and thought 'how hard could it be to run 26 miles???' How wrong we were...

Although we have sometimes been mistaken for being brothers, or even for each other (!), we actually know each other from church. As we train over the coming months in the dark wet British winter, please pray for us and sponsor us to spur us on.

We chose St Catherine's Hospice as it provided great end of life care for Martin's Dad who sadly passed away in February 2012 from Lung Cancer. Martin saw first hand the care and attention they give patients which meant that his Dad was able to feel relaxed there. We also wanted to raise money for a charity whose work is directly seen at a local level and with which we had a connection.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep donate now as between us we need to raise £3,000 for this great charity.
