Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 7 September I am taking the plunge and doing a 10,000ft skydive to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society, a marvellous charity that is very close to me!

My Dad is one of the 1,400 people in the UK to be diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease under the age of 65. My Dad was only 52! The illness has taken hold quickly and I want to support the charity that helps people like my Dad who have to live with this disease, along with supporting their friends and family who have to watch it take its toll and care for them! Not only does Alzheimer’s Society provide support services but they also fund important research into the mysterious disease for cause, cure, care and prevention of Dementia.

So please dig deep to give me the courage to fall (with grace hopefully). Even if you can’t afford to part with some cash then please just spread the word (or this link) about what I am doing/ my story and the work Alzheimer’s Society do. I know my Dad would appreciate you doing just that!

If you would like to follow my journey through excitement, dread, nerves and courage then follow me @MarthaHolmes14.

A big thank you from me and my Dad (I know he thinks I’m crazy!)

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
