Story
Hello all,
My brother, sister and I are all running the Hackney Half Marathon in May In support of our wonderful grandad and Alzheimer’s Society.
Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. Dementia is the name given to a set of symptoms that include memory loss, difficulty with thinking, problem solving or language. Alzheimer’s is a physical disease that affects the brain.
With money and support we can help scientists to not only further understand the disease, but to work towards preventative measures, medicines and cures. It is expected that 1.6 million people living in the UK will receive a dementia diagnosis by 2040.
Any contribution big or small will really help and we will all be very grateful for your support!
Many thanks,
Martha, Michael and Grace Flavin
