In memory of Jack Cogman
The London Marathon needs no introduction. As the most iconic marathon in the world, we want our team of Roy's Runners to hit the streets of London and raise both awareness and money so the UK's Lung Cancer Patients can expect better.

Story

In September 2020 I unfortunately lost my Grandad Jack to Lung cancer. He was a very fit and active man who was the last person we expected to be diagnosed with cancer.

I want to raise awareness that lung cancer is one of the most common type cancer in the world and can affect everyone, not just those who have a history of smoking. Grandad Jack's cancer is expected to be due to exposure to Asbestos during his time in the Navy; the research that they do at Roy Castle is vital for early detection and can save countless lives in the future for a disease that does not discriminate.

The London Marathon has been a goal of mine for many years. I would love you to support me on my running journey and to raise as much money and awareness for Lung cancer and the amazing work that they do at Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

Proud to be one of Roys Runners 2022!!!!
